21 Mar Ely Enterprises named Harris 2022 Distributor of the Year
Ely Enterprises was named the Distributor of the Year for 2022 by Harris Waste Equipment, a leading recycling equipment company. The Cordele, Georgia-based Harris selected Ely Enterprises based on two criteria: Total dollars of revenue generated, and the total number of units moved.
Regarding Ely Enterprises’ recognition, Jeff Ham, Harris Director of Sales shared, “We are thankful for the partnership we have with all of our distributors and the spirit of Harris that they spread throughout the industry. Ely Enterprise, through their commitment to customer solutions and service, has been an outstanding representative of our company in the greater Ohio area, including western New York and Pennsylvania, southern Michigan, and eastern Kentucky. We rest assured that a Harris customer will receive top-notch service and that Ely will ‘Be Harris in all of their interactions.’”
In accepting the award, Ely Enterprises President and founder Ken Ely Jr. said, “We are very pleased to receive this honor from Harris, a recognized leader in the recycling industry.”
“Last year, we experienced one of the largest sales increases in our history,” said Ely. He attributed part of the increase to inflation but said a large part involved the company’s intense focus on the customer as a key reason for its success. “We have many very satisfied customers and get a lot of referrals. We have a great depth of application knowledge and product knowledge, of service and support. We’re constantly adding to our service team as we strive to deliver the best customer experience possible.”
Ken Ely praised Harris for its quality, integrity, and longevity, and went on to note Ely’s employees for their part in winning the award. “It comes down to our core values, where we put the team before self, valuing our internal customers as much as our external customers. We have a can-do attitude and are passionate about a strong work ethic, and we commit to greatness by always doing the best we can do.”
Ely has been a Harris distributor for 25 years. It offers the Harris/IPS line of equipment, including vertical, horizontal, and two-ram balers, along with factory parts and service.
